Newcastle Ferry Port by Car

From the North: Drive to the Tyne Tunnel via the A19. On approach to the tunnel take the A187 and follow the road sign 'International Ferry'. Then follow the directions below from A187.

From the South: From the A19 drive through the Tyne Tunnel and then join the A187. Follow the road sign 'International Ferry'.

From A187: Remain on the A187 (Howden Road) folowing the 'International Ferry' signs. Then turn right into Coble Dene, pass the Royal Quays Shopping Centre and then drive straight ahead to the car and passenger check in area.

Newcastle Ferry Port By Rail

The nearest railway station is Newcastle Central. DFDS Seaways provide a regular return bus service from the station to the port for their sailings only. Trains from London Victoria take 1 hour 45 minutes.

National Express operate a regular coach service from London and around the UK to Newcastle City Centre at Gllowgate just opposite Newcastle Fottball ground. From there you could catch the bus service from the mainline station - see above or take a taxi.
